    What experience do I need to own a heating and cooling franchise with Service Experts?

    Our ideal franchise owner shares our philosophy and is passionate about providing customers with expert, comprehensive home services. Prior technical experience isn’t needed but will be helpful as you build your new business.

    We seek: financially qualified candidates who are inspired by our mission and are ready to convert an existing service center to a Service Experts franchise, new franchisees interested in establishing a service center in a greenfield territory, or current Service Experts general managers interested in purchasing their service center and franchising with us. You should have management experience, financial acuity, and a solid credit history.

    What is provided as part of the Service Experts franchise program?

    Franchise owners and their managers will receive comprehensive training on our franchise business model, both in the classroom and on the job. When it’s time for your Grand Opening, our dedicated franchise team will travel to your location to make sure you are calm, confident, and excited when you open your doors. Owners and staff can travel to one of our six national training centers for technical training on HVAC service techniques. Owners will have access to our Confidential Operations Manual for daily operations. Our team is available to assist you when you need us. We are always just a call or click away.

    How much will the Service Experts franchise program cost me?

    The estimated initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $140,400 to $279,800 for a start-up franchise, or $80,000 to $221,500 for a conversion franchise. This includes a $59,900 initial franchise fee for a greenfield service center and $25,000 for a conversion service center, with a discount available to qualified military veterans. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.

    Is financing available?

    We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case-by-case basis.

    Are there ongoing fees to pay?

    We collect a royalty fee equal to 6% of gross revenues for greenfield centers; conversion centers are charged a reduced royalty rate for their first two years. Fees such as these allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of programs, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. For a full list of fees and requirements, please refer to our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

    Are there any advertising fees?

    As a franchise owner, you will be required to spend, at minimum, the greater of 6% of gross revenues or $32,000 per year on local marketing, and $15,000 on their Grand Opening. You will also contribute up to 2% (currently 1%) of gross revenues to the brand marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Service Experts brand and cover the creative costs to develop branded marketing materials and campaigns.

    What is the term of the agreement?

    The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years each.
